Dear all,

If I were to get a Cisco Router, do we have any good firewall solutions so much as to accomodate future system/network expansion?

Any comparisons with 3Com Routers?

Which one offers better flexibility, usability and ability?

Regards,

1. You can get a PIX firewall or CheckPoint VPN-1 solution (CheckPoint tends to be about 2 times more expensive).

2. You can buy CSIS (used to be CBAC), Cisco Secure IOS software. This is like getting a light version of the PIX functionality on your router. It still very good, but it will put CPU overhead on the router, so this may not be the best choice if you do a lot of routing or if it's a smaller model.
