I am not using Photoshop that often but am trying to add two different drop-shadows to two different layers within the same document. When I change the drop shadow angle it changes on the other layer drop shadow effects as well. The same applies to other effects. Is there a way to issolate the layer and effects not to spread?

You don't need eyes to see just a vision.

In the Drop shadow menu, de-select the Global Light box (next to the angle selector). Now you will be able to set your drop shadow angle how you want.
