Edwards 435-BP1 Bell 1

Edwards 435-BP1 BellI found an old Edwards Signal bell connected to an old Nortel out of service.

Has anyone have an experience connecting this to an Avaya ? I connected it to an analog pait but it just goes off hook.

I have connected Valcom Bells but they are simple and have a module plug.

A 24 Volt DC device is just going to appear as a short to a single-line station port. An AC bell has a capacitor in series with the bell coil to block DC but allow the AC Ringing voltage through.

Wrong part for the application, you could theoretically add an AC Relay and a 24VDC power supply, but you'd spend a lot more than just getting the correct bell.
