With RAM prices at such low levels I'd love to upgrade my PRO 200 to at least 128M from 64M. Problem is, it currently runs EDO and I don't know if I can pull it all and replace with SDRAM. Oh, this is a Gateway running Win95 and is about 5 yrs old. If memory serves I have three slots but could be wrong on that.
Any feedback will be appreciated.

ya gotta open it up and look. Three slots would suggest 2 edo +1 sd but that is unlikely. more likely 4 dimm. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

I have a (UK) Gateway 2000 G300 that came with 64MB of EDO on one stick sitting in one of three EDO slots. Take a look at and enter whichever area, home or office as appropriate. Here you will find an "upgrader" option, which, when u enter your bios detail, will return the spec of your board, memory etc. You will probably find that the board supports PC66 EDO. I have just mixed 64MB pc66 and 1x128 pc100 EDO and its works on the board with the supplied BIOS update. Good luck.

go to compaq site or kingston.com to check what kind of memory your mother board support because compaq ES PRO is very ESPECIAL WHITH MEMORY
