I am trying to find out how to update in the CUCM the items that are available when someone calls the main number.
Example, you dial the company and you hear a message stating, for HR press 1, for Operations press 2, etc.
I need to change this and have not been able to find it.
Can someone please help me? Thank you so much.

Without knowing what you are running, I am taking a shot in the dark here but it would most likely be in Unity, under System Call Handlers. You can also do it via UCCX but I have only done that as a backup if Unity would go down.

I am running Cisco Unified Communications version 8 I believe. I use the Cisco Unified Communication Manager version 8.

I have looked but not sure I am looking in the right place.
where do I find the Call Handlers?

Are you running Unity Connection or Unity? In Connection, it on the left hand side. System Call Handlers. I am not sure about Unity as I have never dealt with it.

Your voice mail is a different web interface that call manager. You need the IP address of that server and log into it via web access to manage.

OK, but how to I find where to go? I log into my server via the web interface (Cisco Unified Communication Manager) but I have not been able to find where to make the changes or additions that I need to make.
I was hoping for some help, like steps to take to get there.

Thank you

Where do you go to add, delete or change mailboxes? In Unity Connection it is in the same place. There is a menu on the left and somewhere in the middle you will find Call Management >> System Call Handlers.
Once you are in there, the naming conventions are going to be different for every system out there, so hopefully whoever designed it to start with made it somewhat obvious. double click the entry you want to look at. Put your mouse pointer over the EDIT option in the tool bar then select User Input. In here you will find options * thru 9. clicking on the number at the left hand side will show you where the call goes when selected while in the menu. At this point there are a lot of options that can be set, hopefully looking at the options you have will give you some obvious choices. You might want to write down or print off exactly what is in there now before you make any changes.

Does this get you in the right direction?
