Everytime i try to edit a report i get the following crystal reports error,
logon failed
Details:could not open the field definition file
'C:\ACCPAC\VM53A\ENG\DI53A'.
I have tried to rename the report name and browse for it when printing but that hasn't helped. I have Crystal reports 9 on my machine.

Hi Everyone,
I have figured out what my problem was, I decided to edit the report using an earlier version of crystal reports(version 8) and it worked.I still don't understand though bcoz i thought ACCPAC uses crystal reports 9 so editing any report using the same version of crystal shouldn't be a problem.

Up to Accpac 5.3 all reports where done in Crystal 8.5
With 5.3 you could install the Crystal 9 runtime files, which will allow you to print reports done in Crystal 9 and 10.
However there was a problem with the Crystal 9 files and you have to install the System Manager service pack for it to work. You may just be missing the SM service pack.
