I was wondering if anyone knew how to delete resources in Project Server 2010. My IT department needs to provide me access to do this.

ThanksZ!

Server Settings Page > Database Administration > Delete Enterprise Objects and select Resources and Users.

You should only delete duplicated resources with no actual work record. For people who leave the company, you should simply make them inactive in order to preserve the work history.

Thanks. My admin didn't provide me privileges which cause the issue.

Is there a way to en-mass update resource information to the server from Project Pro?

What "en-mass" updates do you need? To the best of my knowledge, all resource edits are done through the server interface.

Julie,

I finally got full access to the server. I tried to follow your steps to deleting resources. I'm using 2010 and I didn't see where you were directing me. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong area. Would it be possible for you to upload some screen shots?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,
Sorry to be gone so long. I do not have a project server running here right now, so , sorry, I can't provide screen shots. Can you get to the Server settings page? You are using Project 2010, yes?

I just got access today lol. I am going to have to poke around some so I know where things are. I'll take a look and if I can't locate the solution, I'll let you know.
