I seem to have a problem with importing our company web site to make some changes. I'm new to this and may have it setup wrong. Can some one explain to me how to get a copy of our web site on to my personal web server?

In MSFP Click file, open web (not open, but open web) You will need to be online (naturally) and you must have the user name and password of the site. Caution: You can destroy previous work if you are not careful. You are accessing this directly from the site so if you change anything make sure it's what you want. The good news is that you can work the site just as you would on your drive. You may also go to file, open new web, click import web wizard and import the site to your drive, however you will probably lose your extensions, hyperlinks, themes and shared borders. I hope this helps. RDM

I almost forgot, must have been a brain cramp. When you go to open web, in the file folder box make sure you put your site's url address. Example: RDM

I agree with rdmuzz13... that was something I had to get used to with FP. You can open your web from files saved on your hard drive, when you click the save icon it saves to your hard drive. When you click the post icon, it posts to your web URL. But... if you've opened your web for editing from your web URL and you click the save icon, it saves to your web site and when you click post, because you've got your web open for edit, it will post to your hard drive. Also... if you want to set up passwords for certain pages, that feature is only available if you opened your web for editing from your web URL not from your hard drive (hard drive editing of your web page will show the password feature grayed out). It works well once you get used to it.

Hope this helps sort things out.
