I'm using PDF Forms for the first time, and I'm struggling to understand what's going on with the form that I'm designing. Can anyone answer a couple of questions for me?

1. I have been experimenting with setting up various pages for my form, building them as seperate documents with the idea to combine them into one form at a later date. Some of the pages come out around 17Kb, and others at around 110Kb. In each case the number of data fields, text fields etc on each page is roughly the same. Can anyone give me any ideas as to why the disparity in the size of the forms?

2. Some of the forms I've set up will allow me to edit the Field Properties of the fields by clicking the Form Tool button, while with other forms the Form Tool makes no change to the form (ie I can't edit the fields). Is there a setting somewhere that says that the form is editable or not? I've seen a reference to "Protected" forms, but I can't find anything more about this.

under file, you will find document properties and security properties.... check both out and make sure all settings are the way you want them..... should cure both of your problems...... can t tell you specific things because it s a few of the document properties sub-categories and the document security you have to change to you needs.....

hope that helps anyway
