My company has a safety awards point program where points get you products. My shopping cart is in CGI and the database is on SQL Server. I have a place set up where people can use a password to view there points and the database is accessed to show points. I am trying to subtract points automatically when an order is placed and am not sure where to start. I don't know if the CGI and SQL will work together and allow me to do this. Could anyone give me any clues. I don't have an idea where to begin. Will Java do it for me? Please help. Thank you
