Hi

Could anyone show me how to edit the boot.ini file?
I'm trying to add a bootoption for win98 on another harddrive.
When I choose the win98 option it complains about missing WinNT-files.

/Regards Per

I may be wrong, but the only method I know to enable the Windows NT boot loader to correctly load a Win98 installation you describe is to:

1. Create an Emergency Repair Disk for NT
2. Make sure you have your NT Setup boot floppies
3. Boot the computer with your Win98 Boot Disk
4. Copy the system files to drive C. SYS C
5. Modify the Windows98 path in MSDOS.SYS
6. Make sure you can boot successfully into Win98
7. Boot the computer with the NT Setup boot disk
8. Choose Repair and select the "Inspect Boot Sector"
and "Inspect Startup Environment" options and follow
 the prompts until reboot.

This should get you where you want to be. You also want to check MS Knowledgebase for confirmation or additional information.

dxd
