Hi,

Could somebody please instruct me how to edit audio on the timeline? I am using Adobe Premiere version 7. I never had a problem editing audio with Pinnacle studio but with Premiere I can't bring down the volume in certain places of the video where I do not want audio to be heard.

Fareez...

This works in 6.5, not sure about 7. On the left side of your timeline, click the icon on your audio track to expand. You'll see blue rubberbands in the audio track. Move your rubberbands down to decrease volume, up to increase. Clicking the rubberband will create a pivot point from which you can ramp up or down volume.

Thanks Irsmith for your tip but in version 7 there aren't any rubberbands to play around. But last night I found out if you select a button named add keyframes it will create a pivot point on the audio line and by clicking these pivot points you can increase or decrease the volume.
