if i am editing a piece of actionscript code and i have to edit all the codes in the same way...for example, i have 50 buttons that have to get changed...do i have to manually edit each one or is there a feature that allows for "find/replace"
??
what if i have to edit 100 scripts in the same way?how does this work?

In Flash 5, in the top-right corner of the actions window there is an arrow... under there you will find a Find and Replace feature.

in Flash MX, the 3rd icon at the top of the actions window offers the same feature.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to search through your entire movie to do a search and replace. It will do it on whatever ActionScript is currently in the actions window.

i see. thanks for the reply. so i guess in the case of several buttons, i will have to edit each one.
