editing a SwFlsh32.exe

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I am very, very new at this.
What program do I use to edit a flash 4.0 .exe file? It's a SwFlsh32.exe.
I've tried Macromedia Director 8.5 and Macromedia Flash 5. But everytime I use these to open that file, it doesn't work. Am I missing something?
Please help.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

You can't edit a Flash Projector file (.swf/.exe) You need the source file (.fla) OK? Regards
