Greetings,
I have an invoice report which I would like users to be able to enter extra info (borrower information, miscellaneous items) into a textbox. I'd like them to be able to enter this while previewing the report. Is this possible? If so how can it be done? Thanks.

As far as I know, you can't edit anything on a report. I think your best bet is to create a form with the same data, let the users input the data there, then use a command button to open a report with the new data.

If I'm wrong I would love to know. Being able to have this sort of interactivity on a report would be great!

You can add a text box to a report with a control source like:
=[Enter whatever you want]
When the report opens, the user will be prompted with a dialog and whatever they enter will display in the report.

Thanks!! That works but I wouldn't be able to see the Invoice first. Pretty much I'd like it to be like a pre-populated form with a couple of text boxes where they can enter the info.

Seems to me that if you can get invoice information to appear on a report, you should be able to some how get it onto a form first for viewing.

Doh!! You know as I was typing my reply for the previous post it slowly became painfully obvious that I should've created an invoice form and have it display as a report after all the info was entered. [tongue] Thanks!!!

I would never print a form.

Why not? Also can't you convert the form into a report?

I thought you had an invoice report? Yes, you can save a form as a report.
