Hi:

We have system extensions set up for our college intranet site, so we can work directly on our pages without having to publish them. I used to be able to open the page I wanted to edit in Internet Explorer, then click on the Edit button which was automatically configured after initial installation to Edit with FrontPage. Somehow, that option is no longer available (grayed out). I have tried to uninstall FrontPage and reinstall with no luck. Is there a reasons why this is grayed out, and also, is there a way to set FrontPage as the default web editor, if it wasn't set up that way initially?

Well, the answer to your second question is easy, simply click on tools internet options and then programs - make sure your HTML editor is set to frontpage.

As for why you cant edit all of a sudden - has the system administrator changed any settings in the directories of your intranet? that would be the first place I would look.

I did go into Tools/Internet Options/Programs and no options are available for HTML editor, hence the problem.
