Hi All,

I have a form(1) and within that form I have a subform(2).

On the form(1) I have text fileds that disply some of the information from subform(2). This was achieved by just right clicking on the text field and pointing to what field I want in the subform(2) to be displayed.

I have "allowedits" enabled etc.. but I can not edit the information from a record through the text fields, I can however edit it them through the subform(2).

Do you know how to allow the text fields be edited.

Thanks for your time
S.

You want both forms open at same time, and edit the first form that was displayed?

If that is correct, it might be a modal issue.

Both forms open at the same time as form(2) is within Form(1).
Form 2 is a subform of form(1). Form 2 is in grid format on form(1).

There is too much information per record in the Subform to be displayed so I created text fields on form(1) to display all info for each record. The details of each record are displayed when a record is selected from the subform.

My problem is that I cant edit information about the currently selected record through the text fields.
By the by my db is using DAO.

I dont understand what you mean by modal issue. How can I address this proble?

Thanks for your help
S.
