Hi
Im new to Autocad but have work a cad program(Vectorworks)for years. There must be a way to edit existing shapes-- ie: a rectangle is 8 x 10 and I select it and need to change the dimensions to 8 x 12. It seems you should be able to accomplish this in the properties box -but I cannot!?
I know I can create a 1x1 block that can be edited in the properties box. but this is to clumsy to use for production. There must be a way to perform such an elementary task.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha,
Dave

use the Stretch command and stretch with Ortho on by 2units (ie from 10 to 12) in the direction you want to go. Even the using the grips will work... Jay~
