Hi forum,

I was trying to figure out a way to edit multiple records at one time. I know I can query the info I need, but how do I edit say 5 records at once? I was thinking of setting up a form with one "edit" field then query by date..

Can you expand on that?

People, like computers, can execute only one instruction at a time ... not five at the same time.

I can see you making some change and then applying that change to (for example) five records, but I don't know how to make five different changes to five different records with no sequence of operation separating them.

Hi Golom

Sorry for not being more clear, I need to make one simple change and have it effect a group of records. I have a signature field that needs to be updated after the report had been printed. I hope this helps

You want to execute an update query ?
A starting point:
DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE yourTable SET yourField=yourValue WHERE yourCriteria"

Hope This Helps, PH.
