Edit-in-place - "Type" dropdown missing from "Column Specific&quo

Hi.

This is related to the previous post I had on edit-in-place.

I found in the Clarion samples folder what I was looking for where it does a lookup from the edit-in-place field. When I saw this I said WOW. I found how they did it when I discovered there was a "Type" drowdown in the "Column Specific" dialoge window. When I got back to my app I discovered to my surprise this dialoge window was different. I found that the "Type" drowdown was missing. I also noticed that the one in the sample app displayed just a properties button in the "Configure Edit in place" dialoge window and in my app there was an insert, delete button as well is the properties button in that same window.

Can you tell me what I am missing or what I need to do to get access to that "Type" dropdown?

Have you tried the Column specific Tab under Configure Edit-In-Place?

Yes I tried that, but that was when I tried the properties button when I found the "Type" dropdown was missing. I did however, find out how to get that "Type" dropdown to appear.

I did this:
I opened the Global Properties window.
I chose the Classes tab.
I chose the Browser button.
In the Browser window I chose the EIP tab.
In the Template Interface dropdown I changed the value from Original to Detailed.

That got me what I needed. I noticed in the help it mentioned Global Properties but did not state how to proceed so I kept going through many of the options and figured out how to do it.
