I have just over two hundred Groups and I need to add a couple of new User extensions to all of these Groups. Is there a faster way to make this change other than manually going into every Group and appending the new extension - this is an awful lot of mouse clicks! I was wondering if the Export feature could be used but when I Exported the Groups the Group members were not listed.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

You need to export the "all of the configuration", then open it in an editor of your choice (Notepad, Excel, etc)

The format for extn in the HG is "<extn number>|" without the brackets.

If you're using Excel, remember that it's a .csv file.
Select Column A, click on DATA tab> Text to Columns.
Serach for "GR_Extensions" and add the extn number you need.
Turn it back to text and save.

In Notepad (less chance of messing up):
Search for the HG name, add the extn before the fifth semicolon

Like this:
Main;;200;5;222|; -> Main;;200;5;222|233|;
Then save.

Import back to the IPO.

Should take you less than 15 minutes for 200 entries, way better than 2 hours of mouse clicking[smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar
