hi, Ion Filipski
for "Overstrike Mode", I mean the opposite of "Insert Mode":
when you go to write in a Control that already contains
text, your chars do not insert inside previous,
but they OverWrite them.
hi, the previuos post was appreciable: the word
overstrike (common in other system) may be not
extremely clear in windows environment (however
the key Ins, exists also in PC Keyboard, and it is not
a my invention).
Also using Word, its behaviour changes if Ins key is
pressed or not, owerwriting previous characters (under caret) or not.
My problem is in an intesive data entry program that I am building. If I have a Line and in it I have to substitute
just a part of it, it is more ergonomic and sure, to overwrite the old word, rather than erase it, and re-write.
However, Ion Filipski, I don't need to write "Black" over
"Black" word, but write "Red ", without needing to erase first old chars.
I ensure you, that this was an interesting programming argument, before spending 4 posts to say trivial things.
I suggest to refrain posting similar comment as "overwrite some existing string with an identiall one".
