I am trying to change font of some Office 2003 word documents which use Bookmarks.

I have highlighted entire doc and changed font to Arial. However, when it runs some of the book marks are still in the old font Trebuchet.

I can see where the bookmarks are (][ seem to mark the spot) I can see their names but I can not work out how to open them and change font.

What is more odd is that within the same doc some have changed completely, some partially (address block half and half) and some not at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Ian

What style is shown when you are in the bookmark?

If it is a bookmark style, then change the font for that style.

That was the trouble I could not see the book mark. Content was being coded from a database.

Turns out font control was buried in the word doc code and not visible in word.

I had to open doc in NotePad+ and do a search and replace on TrebuchetMS to Arial.

All working now.

Thanks

Ian

Sounds rather like you were trying to change parts of a document containing fields, not just bookmarks. Depending on the field switches, they can be resistant to such attempts.
