We are a Novell Dominated Company with the exception of a newly created Windows 2000 Web Server(was using Novell's Web Server). I was wanting to use the Novell MAP command to map to the specified directory on the Windows 2000 Web Server (IIS5).

If you cannot administer the file system on a Windows 2000 Server with eDirectory installed one it, what benifits are there on using it?

I believe that you should be able to get to your share by putting this into your login script:

# net use \\2KServername\sharename

If your 2K credentials are the same as those of your NDS account, you shouldn't have to authenticate again

About eDir on a 2K server, I'd have to defer to someone else.... I've only done eDir on Linux & NetWare.

You can supply other usernames and passwords to make that connection as well. Drop to a command prompt on W2K and type
'net help use'. Construct the command just like you were going to use it in Windows, test it.

When you place it in your login scripts, add the '#' character. '#' instructs the Novell login script to execute what follows from the command line. You can run any executable, batch, or command this way.

FYI
# means to wait until this command finishes before continuing then login script.

@ means to continue the login script without waiting for the command or batch to finish.

If you don't have anything following this command depending on that mapping I would use the @ command. The script will run faster.
