Anyone have a setup with Symposium and Edify?
I have a problem with I-Server that I would like to bounce off someone in a like place.

If the Edify port gives RNA for more than 45 seconds, we have Symposium log the port out. It appears that this happens to about two ports out of 1500 per day. It looks like the problem has to do with communication between Edify and I-Server. Restarting I-Server will generally fix this issue, but I still don't know why?

I use and option 81 with rel 25.40 three line side t-1s to the edify server. The call will come into the pBX first, then it is sent to symposium where it is routed to the edify box. Genesys interacts with symposium through the T-server. We have never had any issues with the port locking up

Why wouldn't you just write an application using one of those 1500 Edify ports to check the status of the agents and run the agent login routine on any ports showing as Logged out?

We thought about that, the only problem is, Symposium logs the port out if it gives RNA for 45 secs. That being the case, there is the possibility that we may have a bad port or some kind of failure that has to be addressed (rather than just the occasional fluke). In which case, you don't want to log a bad port back into service. So we like to check the ports in a test environment before returning it to the customer.

I've bunred a few brain cells since I went to Edify school, but if i remember correctly there was a way to reset an invdividual port, or bounce an application on an individual port.

Have you tried making a dummy change to the port? Like switching it to a bogus application and then changing it back to the real one on the program that would normally attempt to log the port back in?
