Is it possible to use Biztalk Server to accept standard EDI messages (D99A order specifically) and process these to other formats (e.g. RosettaNet or other XML order formats). I know Biztalk can handle the XML based versions of EDI messages, but we need to handle the "old" fixed width text type messages.

Thanks for you help

See the following document, which talks about creating a BizTalk adpater:

creating Microsoft BizTalk Server adapters

This document provides code examples, information, and best practices for building a direct integration with Microsoft® BizTalk using adapters. Of the two methods of BizTalk integration, direct and indirect, using the direct method with an adapter provides more options for controling the integration process.

Biztlak Editor creates EDI document definitions
for fixed length and for delimited files as well.

Once definition created, it is used as an EDI to xml transformation.

I hope this helps.
