Hi, new to a role and have been asked to come up with a very basic pros / cons document for 4 possible EDI (B2B ) solutions;

AS2, Ab Initio, Biztalk, Xcom

Any help would be appreciated

Slightly clumsy first message, but could do with your help. We intend to use an oracle database alongside ab intio on unix. We need to transfer data to an external company who have a unix box currently.

For ease of use, we will probably xcom a flat file.
Ab Initio would work, but only if the other company takes it on.

Should I be considering xml/biztalk ? I guess probably not.

Should AS2 be a consideration, but probably for the future, when it has become more tried and tested.

Would appreciate your comments pros/cons of the above possible solutions.

Why not ask the other company what their EDI solution is? If you use the same (or a compatible one) would make your life much easier.
