Recently, I stepped in for our usual EDI admin while he was on vacation, and was amazed by how long it took to generate ASN's out of Macola. 18 ASN's took over an hour to generate (ranging from 10-180 line items per order, 1,200-ish line items total).
We are running Progression version 7.6.100a. The db server's processer averages at about 30% (roughly the same as when the ASN's are not being generated) and there is still plenty of memory available. There is no network congestion.
At the suggestion of our integrator, we have purged the EDBBCIFL_SQL table (prior to the purge, it took over 2.5 hours for the same ASNs). At this point, they seem to think that what we are experiencing is standard and are unable to help us any further.
Are these kinds of generation times normal, and if so, how do the larger companies deal with generating hundreds of ASNs per day?
Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
