Hi All,
I have just migrated AD and Exchange 2003 on a single server to two separate servers AD successfully on a new server AD on a separate Hardware and Exchange 2007 SP1 on a separate hardware. I also installed Edge Transport server with 2 NICs and installed Security Configuration Wizard.

My Issue is everything works fine for 5 hours and then users stop receiving emails but they can send.

after sometime users receive the error message:

Delivery is delayed to these recipients or distribution lists:

sendtest

This message has not yet been delivered. Microsoft Exchange will continue to try delivering the message on your behalf.

I ran smtp test on and I get:

No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it Global IP:25

and users stops receiving emails until I restart the Edge server, then emails start pouring in.

I thought it was the firewall but everything works fine...

Please help!!!

Thank you for your assistance

Description:
The system failed to register host (A) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {65AD319F-4ED0-48B7-8F72-B64A208A536E}
Host Name : mail
Primary Domain Suffix : abc.com
DNS server list :
172.16.1.4
Sent update to server : w.x.y.z
IP Address(es) :
172.16.1.6

The reason the system could not register these RRs was because of a security related problem. The cause of this could be (a) your computer does not have permissions to register and update the specific DNS domain name set for this adapter, or (b) there might have been a problem negotiating valid credentials with the DNS server during the processing of the update request.

You can manually retry DNS registration of the network adapter and its settings by typing "ipconfig /registerdns" at the command prompt. If problems still persist, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator. For specific error code, see the record data displayed below.
