Edge Sync failing every few weeks

We currently have 2 Exchange 2007 Servers, one running Edge Transport, and the other running all other roles (Mailbox, client access, Hub Transport). The problem we are having that new emails we add tend not to work. After investigating, the edge sync seems to be failing every few weeks with the error "The supplied credentials are invalid" I have rebuilt the connection several times, however it continues to fail. The strange thing is, all mail continue to flow normally except for new email addresses, so it seems the sync of users from the domain to the edge transport server is not working until the edge sync is rebuilt. Does anyone have any advice?

If you do a Start-EdgeSyncronization right after setting up the Edge subscription, what happens?

If I scrap the edge sync and rebuild it, everything works fine. The problem occurs after a few weeks of it seeming to run fine. So if I run a start-edgesyncronization right after a reinitialization of the Edge Sync, it works fine.
