Hi there people. I'm having a nightmare trying to make simple text images to use as buttons for my website. Although they are only in two colors, I always get blurred shadows, white edges, or pixelation from vectors in Illustrator.

How do I get smooth edges when I save these images for web? When I preview them online they have either a slight white edging or a blurry edge to them.

I've tried saving for web (as gifs), saving as jpegs gives the same problem, and even exporting to photoshop has failed me so far.

I've a feeling that this is really simple and I'm sat here banging my head against the wall in frustration.

Anyone who can help will have my utmost thanks, and will save my head from further damage.

I believe SVG is the format for web vector stuff. I think your pixelization problem stems from making gifs and jpgs (raster formats).
I don't actually know what a simple text image is. I mean there's text, and there's images.
Hope that helps, if even a little.
