Hi guys,

Can anyone help with this? I have aloha version 6.0.9 and everything runs great, except when I go to authorize a credit card. It waits a long time and then says "EDC Request Manager busy or not responding". Has anyone seen this before. Rebooting, refreshing data and unregister and re-register do not help. I don't have any .hld files or .req files in my edc folder on the server. I don't have any .lck or .ock files in my data folder on the server or any of the terminals. In this version of Aloha, I don't see any edc folders on the terminals, so I don't see any spooling files. I can't process credit cards, someone please help! Thank you!

Make sure EDC service is actually running. Check that NTFS permissions are not restrictive. Make sure you can browse and delete both ways from BOH to FOH and vice versa. Hope that helps

I'm sorry, I never closed this thread. I found out there was a file called "settling" that keeps the EDC manager from working. The file appears and suspends the process from working if a batch is interrupted in the middle of settling. You can simply delete the batch and settle again. That's all it was. Thanks for the help.
