EDC broken

Windows emergency security patch KB4056892 seems to break EDC, older Delivery interface and even Adobe Acrobat. Other than uninstalling the update and putting a pause for 35 days to new windows updates, does anyone have any other advice for Windows 10 X64 machines.

The WUSHOWHIDE.CAB does nothing to stop the program

KB4056892 is the MELTDOWN/SPECTRE patch, but will only be downloaded and installed if the Antivirus on the customers server is an appropriate version. Downloading and installing the patch doesn’t mediate the issue until the antivirus product sets a particular registry key.
