You will need to concentrate most of your efforts on the server side scripting such as PHP, Perl, or ASP.NET. Never trust client side data or scripting or your site may receive bad info that will end up compromising its security.

You could also always outsource the e-commerce portion of your site to a company such as Nexternal ( which is what I have done in the past so I didn't have to worry as much about security and legal problems (or even lower tech just set up a paypal account, etc).

Sounds like a winner. I will try the outsource method because I not even going t try the scripting. Thanks oppcos I appreciate the link and info.
