eCommerce FLASH

I haven't found one good example of an eCommerce FLASH site on the net! Maybe I am not looking hard enough...is there anyone out there that has some pointers or tutorials for creating FLASH based eCommerce sites...something like shopping carts...or any examples would be great. Thanks

If you buy the book FLASH 4 MAGIC, there is an example of a shopping cart, looks good, but not overly effective for a large eCommerce site, Flash just ain't built for that, in my opinion, you should use ColdFusion or ASP or the like. [sig][/sig]

I have read the FLASH 4 Magic book and others as well. I agree FLASH is week when it comes to large commercial eCommerce sites. I wonder if there is a way to incorporate ColdFusion or ASP into FLASH. I'm sure it's possible, but is it reliable? Are there any good resources for ColdFusion and/or ASP tutorials? I have worked with databases a bit but not enough to start a commercial eCommerce site. Why would you do an e-Commerce site in Flash? Is it because you can have Flash do some cool eye candy things?

To me, the best e-Commerce sites are the ones that are done with HTML/JavaScript/Some Server Language. They always look the best.

Well that is just my opinion.

I have seen some ok [Flash] e-Commerce sites, but not ones worthy enough for me to remember.

I don't want to make the entire site FLASH. I am going to have some FLASH content within the site to spice it up a bit. I just bought a book about Allaire Spectra for the eCommerce part of the site. I am sure that will help get through the programming aspects of shopping carts and security. Any suggestions for material on shopping carts & eCommerce would be helpful. I am looking for the same example. I came across a simple example of passing info from flash - asp, asp reading from a db using ado - asp passing info back to flash and flash displaying it on

http://www.asp101.com.

Not as detailed as you'd like but a starting point if you know asp.
