We are starting to use engineering change management and have found an issue when creating new shop orders. We had expected the ECM Revision on the shop order entry screen to default to the currently active revision as soon as the item number is entered, however, the ECM Revision field remains blank, requiring the user to select the correct revision. Is there a way for this field to default to the current ECM revision? The item master does show the current revision and the correct effectivity date. We are on ES360 using shop floor control.

This is by design, which allows you to manufacture different ECM revisions rather than defaulting to the latest ECM revision.

If you have Flexibility, you can write flex code to grab the current ECM revision off of the item master.
