Echo Cancellation

anybody know how we can do echo cancellation on Asterisk PBX




To error is human.....if the machine doesnt work, then KICK IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Open zapata.conf and play with rxgain and txgain...you will be able to resolve most echo problems using theses settings and the ztmonitor application included in the zaptel sources.

if you're using a cheap X100P card its really hard to remove the echo completely. If you have a bit of money to put in, buy yourself the asterisk developer kit it come with one line port and one analog phone port and they work just great!

I've got a Sipura SPA-1000 and SPA-1001 and they echo back your own voice when talking from extension to extension, or from an extension to the outside line. I'm assuming this is a seeting in the Sipura's but I'm not sure. How do I determine what is causing the echo and correct it?
