I have to send some commands to a system which will return the results. I write the receive buffer to a file. But I see that every command I typed (character by character) is written to the file. How do I turn off the echo from the remote system (it can not be done on that system)?

Thnx,
Rob

Thnx, but is there a way to fileter the results i want to store in a file? Which, actually, is the best option to gather data from the com-port? rget, comgetc, comread?

Or is there an example script? I'm not a very good programmer.

Greets,
Rob

I usually find it easiest to use either a capture file or the snapshot command to save raw data to a text file, and then load that file, parse it, then save the filtered output to a final text file.
