ecBadVersion error running ISINTEG

I've just updated by Exch 5.5 to SP4 and then I ran the ESEUTIL integrity checks etc. I then went to run the ISINTEG in test only mode as I had a bit of time to spare but got the following error;

command line was ISINTEG -PUB -DETAILED -TEST ALLTESTS

Error returned was "Configuring tstmgr failed: ecBadVersion"

All the technical documents on the web referring to this error talk about using ISSCAN or older versions of Exchange, or even updating to SP4 to fix this as it's apparently a mismatch between the IS store version and the utilities. But as I updated to SP4 before running it everything should be the same version.

Any thoughts?
