I have mapped an extension to a mobile number by using the command change off-pbx-station mapping i have entered the extension number the app which is EC500 the mobile number and all the other relevant fields. do i have to use a prefix of 9 and also when i do a status station on the extension i am using it says EC500 disabled how do I enable it? Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

On the change off-pbx-telephone station-mapping XXXX form you do not need to put in a prefix but put in the trunk group you want the call to go out. You need to assign feature access codes to Enhanced EC500 Activation and deactivation. Also you need to place an "EC500" button on the phone to activate the feature. Once activated when you stat the station it will say enabled. An "ExtendCall" button can be placed on the phone as well, this will extend the call to your cell phone if you answered your desk phone.

Create a station, set the type to Xmobile, and Xmobile type EC500. Leave Dial Prefix blank, set the phone number without the 9. The mapping mode should be Termination. On the last page, set the Line Appearance to Brdg-Appr Btn1, and the Ext will be the extension of your desk phone.

Change your deskphone extension, on one of the buttons put a button called EC500.

On your deskphone, hit the EC500 button.

Do a "status station XXX(your extension" you should see it say "EC500 Enabled"

Give it a try!

For troubleshooting to see if the system is even trying to call your cell you can watch what the system is doing, I think this will work...do a "list trace station XXX" (your extension) and call your extension from another desk phone...I think it may show the system calling your cell phone.

Depending on your release, you may or may not have a ExtendCall button option - I dont on mine.

My instructions are for a Definity...by looking at the command you used, it looks like you may have a different switch than mine.
