Looking for a way for an Ec500 station to continue ringing once the call has gone to coverage. This assumes that the call covers to another extension, say a secy, before it goes to VM. Any help is appreciated.

You can ring to multiple endpoints on-net simultaneously but once one of them answers or the call is routed off-net the additional connections are terminated.

You can get it to ring off-net station at the same time (tricky) but as soon as either an internal or external endpoint answers (answer supervision externally) then the call will terminate for all additional legs.

I configured a virtual station(A) with coverage to a cover answer group. In the cover answer group I added the internal phones I wanted to ring as well as an additional virtual station(B). On station B I configured EC500 with the EC500 destintion being the off-net number.

Then I logged in an actual phone to station (B) and activated EC500. Then logged that phone off. So then when you make calls to the virtual station (A) it rings the internal phones as well as the EC500 destination for station (B).

I used this to allow users on Cisco Call Manager to participate alongside Avaya Communication Manager users in taking calls for the same number.
