Hi,

is it possible to prevent a call from being forwarded to a voicemail from the ec500 mobile?

We have a couple of extensions (9650 deskphones) with off-pbx-telephone station-mapping.
The extensions don't have a voicemail in the "Avaya Aura Messaging" but they have their external voicemail from mobile carrier. Cancelling/deactivating these voicemails is not an option for now.

How can I setup an extension (or coverage path) to NOT forward to that mobile voicemail?! But instead going to a specific vdn or anything else inside our avaya system?
Thanks in advance!

Under change off-pbx-telephone configuration change " Confirmed Answer " to yes. This will require the user to press any button on the key pad when answering the phone call. This will stop the cell phone voice mail from taking the call. If the users had a voice mail on the system ( which I know you said they do not ) the call would get pointed to the MM voice mail instead of the cell's voice mail.

Setup a Cover Path just like you would for voice mail except don't send it to your Aura Messaging system. Replace the AA Messaging system number with a VDN.
Just make sure you have the system retrieve the call back "before" it goes into the mobile voice mail.
If the mobile vm kicks in at 7 rings make sure your desk phone is set to 6 rings or below to go to redirect(coverage).

I use Cov Paths with VDN's to redirect calls to a second stations vm. I avoid the first stations vm (vacant desk).

A Cover Path is just a path of redirection after the call hasn't been answered. It doesn't have to go to VM.
