Hello lovers of Arcserve (are there any??)

Currently running Arcserve 2000 Enterprise Edition Build 1086 on Win2k server, with open file backup agent and are getting this error:

W3404 Unable to open file. FILE=G:\BackupDisk\Users\WINNT\inf\mdmgar.inf, EC=SWAPERROR)

Usually W3404 is a sharing violation (?) but we've checked the permissions and passwords and they are as they have been before. No-one is in these files as it backs up around 3am.

Any thoughts??

Hi There,
Just out of curiosity, isn't that a driver that it is having a problem backing up? Have you tried doing a backup by using lockmode if deny write fails? You may even want to tweak your OFA write inactivity period to a second above the default (should 5 secs at the moment, not 100% though)
