Does any know of a VFP routine or utility to convert EBCIDIC numeric values to ASCII? I'm getting an extract from a cobol system that I've imported to a Fox table. The numeric values look something like 00034558{ or 00054355A.
The "A" or "{" represent a compressed pair of numerics or a sign for negative values. Even a conversion chart would be helpful. As you can tell, the mainframe guys are of no value to me.

If you do a search in your favorite search engine on "EBCIDIC numeric values to ASCII", you will find many articles on the subject, most likely you will find a chart as well.
