Our db software vendor has made a large number of changes to the db that affects the tables/fields used in the catalog. From the solutions I've come across on Cognos' website on other forums, it sounds like the only method of loading in the changed fields is to manually generate new folders with the update fields, drag and drop them to existing folders, make sure the joins are there...etc. Isn't there any type of utility that would allow someone to open the catalog and then update the links to say field "table.fieldA" is now "table.fieldX" ?? Additionally, could there be some report utility that would go through all the reports and make a like-wise modification? Thanks for any input!
