I have a couple users who refuse to erase or even check their messages. They are forwarded via email so they are too lazy to actually delete them on their phone.

Is there an easy way to delete all messages? or delete their mailbox and re-create it? 1 user has 75MB word of VM's.

using VMPro 4.1.

You could set the housekeeping to erase new messages after a certain amount of time.

or set the voicemail email mode to Forward so that no copy is left in the mailbox.

Strange, if you have forwarded them in the Manager then the VMlight won't turn on.
It will just sent the voice to e-mail.

I just set that to 240 hours. What determines an old vs new message? I thought it would be whether it was listened to or not, however there is the 'Delete Unopened messages' option as well.

new: 240
old: 240
saved: 0
Unopened: 240

It was originally set to 'copy' so the messages were already there for a lot of the users. IE they were put in their vmbox and forwarded via email.

When I noticed the size of some of the VM boxes is when I made the changes.

You can do it the dirty way:
you can erase the user in the vm directory and restart the VM pro service, the user will be re-created and all messages are deleted.

Get UMS!!!

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Just deleting the extension and re-creating it wiped the VMbox. Which is what I needed.

Thanks guys.
