I have an old 3.5" hdd formatted as ext4 that I can connect to my win7 machine via a usb adapter. I've been searching for a suitable driver and/or utility to allow me to view and read/extract certain files from this drive.
While I continue my search perhaps some of you win/lin persons can suggest a solution for this task?

Thanks

Yes, thank you. But "we" *nix guys are used to free software. I just found and used a free utility called DiskInternalLinux-reader which is a separately run utility that is doing just what I need.

Thanks for the link, though.

Yes, I understand, that is why I linked a free program from paragon software. Glad you found something that worked.

FYI - I initially downloaded paragon software but when I went to use it it wanted me to purchase. It stated the "download" was free. Not the use of it. Oh well. But thanks. I'm not complaining. Just sharing what I experienced. Enjoy...[smile]

No, they wanted you to register the product, then they send you an email with the codes to install it. I went through the whole procedure to be sure. It never asked for any money.
