I have an option 11 with a digital card that has no phones on it at all. I was wondering what the process is to remove it. Can I just pull the card out of the system without causing any problems?
It's always worthwhile whilst in e.g. LD 32 to stat the card to confirm the serial number and card type as it's easy to be looking in the wrong cabinet. i.e.

I tend to leave any spare cards jacked out, but still keep them im their original slot where possible, or put them in the two dummy slots on the older Option 11 expansion cabinets. The reason I do this is if you have to rely on the customer or a tech to assist you if you get a problem reported. It's easier to not have any Red lights on cards that are unused as it only confuses everyone in thinking that there are more problems with the system.
Nothing worse than being sent to site after a power cut to deal with a suspected faulty PRI / IPE card etc. only to find that the link isn't used and the card was still left in place.

Thanks guys. Any additional commands have to be used if I have to plug that card in again? Can I just plug it into the empty port and the switch will see it?
