we never enabled CALL-BY-CALL reporting... what information, exactly, would this show if i enabled it for a piticular skillset? what kind of reporting would i get? dumb question i know, "turn it on" :) humor me..

You do not get a "report" with call-by-call.

Its a mechanism that allows for the "recording of events" related to calls. Effectively it shown the progress of an incoming caller through the application/s to connection to termination.

It is not enabled by skillset. It is enabled by application.

Also, this fills up disc space very quickly, so you may want to limit how much data you store. Unless you have specific reasons to hold more, a couple of days is usually enough.

When you set up call by call, there is a component of the discs already set aside for this (Call By Call database and System Database).

The trick is to set up the applications that you want to record, and the duration of the archive. You will not "fill the discs".
