Hi,
I have been assigned the task of installing a Lotus Notes server to do some testing with our paging systems. Everything appears to work fine, except for one thing. When a message is sent to the SMTP server from the internet, it is received, but sits in the "server's" mailbox. I can see the message, who its from, and who it is going to, but it is never delivered to that persons mailbox.
I see no "failure reason" and the "Release" commands don't seem to do anything. I have read enough "help" articles to drive me slowly insane.....

Please help!
Thanks,
Ben Wilson

It sounds like you don't have the connection document linking the server to "All Internet Hosts" in the domain "Internet."

Without that connection document, the server has no idea that its supposed to send mail. [sig]
Mike Hillwig
mike@hypermike.com
<a href= done more R5 deployments than I care to think about.[/sig]

Is the SMTP server the same server which hosts the mailboxes ?
If not, be sure there is mail routing between the smtp and the mail server.
If yes, can you send a regular Notes mail from one user to another ?
And can you send a mail from Notes to the internet ?
